2. Sponsor: General Mills Sales, Inc., One General Mills Blvd., Minneapolis, MN 55440. Administrator: ePrize, LLC, One ePrize Drive, Pleasant Ridge, MI 48069.
3. Timing: The Sweepstakes begins on January 28, 2010 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ends on May 31, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Promotion Period") and consists of seventy (70) weekly entry periods (each, an "Entry Period"). For purposes of this Sweepstakes, each Entry Period begins on Thursday at 12:00 a.m. ET and ends the following Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. ET, except for the last Entry Period of the Sweepstakes which begins on Thursday at 12:00 a.m. ET and ends the following Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. ET. Administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes.
4. How to Enter: There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes:
Purchase Total Cereal: During the Promotion Period, purchase a specially-marked box of Total Cereal and locate the entry code on the inside of the box. Once you have located the code, visit www.TotalCereal.com and follow the links and instructions to complete the registration. Complete and submit the registration including a valid home address and the code. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. You automatically will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Each time you login to enter the Sweepstakes during the Promotion Period you will be required to submit a new code to receive an additional entry.
Enter by Mail: To enter without purchasing a specially-marked box of Total Cereal, hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address (if any), and age on a 3" x 5" piece of paper and mail it with proper postage to “Total Cereal Healthy and Wealthy Sweepstakes,” c/o ePrize, LLC, PO Box 1764, Grand Rapids, MI 49501-1764. You will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit: One (1) entry request per envelope. All mail-in entries must be handwritten. All mail-in entries for each Entry Period must be postmarked by the Wednesday of the particular Entry Period and received by the following Wednesday to be eligible for the drawing on the subsequent Thursday (except for the last Entry Period for which mail-in entries must be postmarked by Tuesday and received by the following Tuesday to be eligible for the drawing on Wednesday). All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.
Limit: Each participant may enter one (1) time per day up to a maximum of twenty (20) times during the Promotion Period, by any method or combination of methods of entry. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
5. Drawings: Administrator is an independent judging organization whose decisions as to the administration and operation of the Sweepstakes and the selection of the potential winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Administrator will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes Grand Prize winner from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period, on or around June 9, 2011. Administrator will randomly select the potential First Prize and Second Prize Sweepstakes winners for each Entry Period from all eligible online and mail in entries received during the applicable Entry Period, on or about eight (8) days following the conclusion of each Entry Period. Non-winning entries will carry-over into each subsequent Entry Period. The following is a breakdown of the prize awarding per Entry Period:
| Dates | # of Entry Periods | Prizes Per Entry Period * |
|---|---|---|
| January 28, 2010 – March 3, 2010 | 5 | 6 prizes |
| March 4, 2010 – June 30, 2010 | 17 | 99 prizes |
| July 1, 2010 – May 31, 2011 | 48 | 6 prizes |
*Prizes drawn per Entry Period shall be a random combination of First and Second Prizes.
The potential winners will be notified by email, mail or phone. The potential Grand Prize winner (parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to sign and return to Sponsor, within ten (10) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release ("Affidavit") in order to claim the prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, or fails to sign and return the Affidavit within the required time period (if applicable), potential winner forfeits prize. Potential winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner of the Grand Prize or a First Prize is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. At least five (5) alternate drawings will be held after which the prize may, in Sponsor's sole discretion, remain un-awarded. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Sponsor shall use best efforts to award all Grand and First Prizes listed in these Official Rules. Unclaimed Second Prizes will not be awarded. First and Second Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 8-10 weeks after the conclusion of the applicable Entry Period.
